The A-Rosa Sena is the largest river cruise ship in Europe. The so-called A-ROSA E-Motion ship relies on an innovative hybrid drive consisting of a combustion engine and an electric motor and also has a battery storage system. This significantly reduces emissions. The 135m long ship can take up to 280 guests on board and was launched for the first time in June 2022.
DESIGN
The use of natural materials and muted colours that blend perfectly with the passing scenery create a cosy retreat for all travellers. The fresh and light-flooded design is intended to be the recognition factor for future A-ROSA river cruise ships. The design of the A-ROSA SENA has been carefully developed to offer guests a unique cruise experience. The focus is on the connection to nature, and this is reflected in many aspects of the cabins. With 119 balcony cabins and seven balcony suites, guests have the opportunity to experience the stunning scenery along the Rhine up close.
The A-ROSA SENA also offers barrier-free cabins to give guests with limited mobility the comfort and convenience they need. In addition, family cabins are available to meet the needs of families and ensure a pleasant stay for all members. Public areas on board the Sena, such as lounges, restaurants and bars, are also stylishly designed to provide guests with a cosy ambience in which to relax, enjoy meals and socialise. Here, elements of nature, such as plants or natural materials, are often found to emphasise the connection with the surroundings.
Overall, the interior design features a modern, elegant and nature-inspired style that provides guests with a comfortable and appealing ambience during their cruise.
CUSTOM MADE FURNITURE
The cabins feature various pieces of furniture that aim to provide maximum comfort and convenience for guests. These include comfortable beds where guests can watch the scenery, as well as chaise-longues that can be used as a cosy seating area or even as an extra sleeping space for children. The chaise-longues are custom made and offer guests not only a comfortable place to rest, but also additional storage space. The custom made furniture by TeamHoff is of high quality and appealing design to create a harmonious connection with the overall interior and the natural concept of the ship. The custom-made furniture pieces fit seamlessly into the interior design of the cabins and help guests feel comfortable and relaxed on board.
The custom made pouf has been equipped with a practical hand strap for easy handling in the cabin. In addition, the decorative piping gives the pouf a special look. LOOSE FURNITURE
(INDOOR AND OUTDOOR)
When selecting furniture for the outdoor area, special attention was paid to stability and weather resistance. As cruise ships can be exposed to different weather conditions, the furniture used in the outdoor area is designed to withstand wind and weather and maintain its quality and appearance over time. Robust materials such as Quickdry foam and UV-resistant fabrics are used to ensure that the outdoor furniture is durable and resilient. In addition, waterproof fabrics are used in the production of the upholstery material to prevent water penetration.
Indoors, homely tables and comfortable chairs have been selected to provide guests with a cosy ambience that makes them feel at home. Careful selection of furniture that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing enhances the interior design and helps guests experience a comfortable and private atmosphere on board.
The SPA area exudes cosiness, similar to an exclusive SPA on land. Comfortable lounge chairs invite guests to rest and relax.
The SENA GRILL restaurant seats 30 guests and features warm wood furnishings, butterscotch leather accents and copper tones that create a masculine atmosphere and emphasise the inviting character of the space. The different seating furniture adds to the relaxed ambience and sets lively accents.
